I have a watch that is not so new, so what does Vintage Mean? Characterized by Webster Dictionary it means:
vintage adj 1 : of, relating to, or produced in a particular vintage 2 : of old, recognized, and enduring interest, importance, or quality : CLASSIC <~ cars> 3 : of the best and most characteristic
I began this page of interest to those that have asked us to show some of their personal timepieces, including some from my personal collection as well as those that have been sent to us from unknown whereabouts. Like many things of beauty, we tend to relish with pleasure a long lasting admiration. For me that pleasure comes from owning vintage timepieces. My favorite era of vintage collection is the 50's and early 60's. As a watch designer and collector it allows me to compose a greater understanding of current design and how this progression of design as taken me to where I am today. I could not have created my watch design company if it where not for the passion I enjoyed in collecting old watches to began with. Watches are unique collectibles and create stimulating conversation regardless of the age of the timepiece. Even a persons character has been stereotyped according to the watch they wear. A finely designed timepiece gives a sense of pride to the bearer and thus may be handed down from generation to generation. Remember what is new today and in demand along with a desirable style will be a vintage classic tomorrow.
Adding to the variety of choices one has today in watch design, going back to designs far forgotten should simply add pleasure to your collection. I like wearing my vintage watches when I'm away from those I know, I enjoy the looks that come my way when someone takes notice of what I'm wearing, they may not recognize the brand from a short distance, but they can certainly recognize the period from which it came.
